Hear all about my first birth. It was 24 hours from start to finish with about 10 hours of active labour. I laboured mostly at home initially with the last 7 at a tertiary hospital. I used gas in the final stages of active labour and then pushed for several hours. I felt like a warrior after but had quite a bit of damage and a fairly long recovery as a result. He was perfect though. He also had a tongue tie and difficulties with feeding.
